"So I've actually tried to write this review three times now, but end up deleting it as I'm struggling to convey just how delighted I am with Alice.
From the very beginning stages of booking to the wedding day, Alice was professional, kind and a genuinely warm person. During the trial she asked how I'd usually wear my makeup and worked hard to enhance my features rather than thickly apply it which I was delighted with. She asked for my suggestions while also giving her own recommendations which was brilliant for a really indecision person like myself. My hair was beautiful and I ended up keeping it in all day because i loved it so much.
Alice accommodated a last minute addition request despite having absolutely no obligation to and went out of her way to find an assistant to help so all of our hair and makeup would be finished by my early ceremony time, rather than just insisting we all get up at the crack of dawn. I believe I could have thrown any curveball at Alice and she would have handled it with tact and grace.
On the wedding morning I was really nervous, kept welling up and became a bit anxious. Alice immediately began to ask me questions about the wedding, our engagement and general life stuff to keep me distracted and grounded. It worked! I was so busy talking with her that time flew and my nerves calmed down. We all got so many compliments on our hair and makeup and I'm so grateful.
Alice is the sweetest, loveliest person who is also incredibly skilled at her job and I highly recommend her for any upcoming weddings."

"Alice was recommended by a friend and from the minute we started messaging she was very helpful and since I wasn't used to having hair and makeup done professionally she talked me through how she works and immediately helped me understand it all.
Alice came to my house to do mine and my mum's hair and makeup trial and explained all the different products and styles. We both weren't used to wearing makeup but Alice was really relaxed and offered suggestions so that we would both feel 100% on the big day. She sent us prewedding makeup and hair tips and advice on where to get any accessories we personally wanted. When Alice came to the cottage on the wedding morning she brought a lovely energy and not once did we feel rushed. There was 8 of us in total so Alice brought some colleagues with her who were also both lovely and calm! It was a busy morning and I had been worried about being stressed but because we were all calm and busy chatting excitedly about the day ahead I had such an easy, fun morning get ready with my girls and Alice. "Alice’s communication skills were fantastic throughout the entire process, she was responsive and straight to the point. I really appreciated this as it meant it was one thing off my very long tick list.
When meeting Alice for my trial, she made me feel at ease. Alice was super excited about every idea I had but equally gave her professional opinion on what would/wouldn’t work best with my skin, hair or eyes. Alice explained what products she would be using.
After the trail, Alice sent a detailed set of instructions on how best to prepare my skin and hair for the wedding. Being someone who had never had their hair or makeup done before, I really appreciated this as did my mum and bridesmaids who were also having their hair and makeup done by Alice.
On the morning of the wedding, Alice arrived on time and was so positive. We spoke all of the way through which helped my nerves greatly. Everyone who saw and has seen my hair and makeup has said how beautiful it was. Both my hair and makeup lasted all day and needed no touch ups whatsoever. I didn’t want to take it out or off by the end of the day.
My mum, my bridesmaids and I all felt that Alice helped to begin the day in the most positive way. Alice was patient, professional, kind, friendly, prepared and organised. I cannot sing her praises enough! I hope to have the opportunity to book Alice again in the future 💖"

Myself and my mum had a trail ahead of the wedding day which was great to get to know Alice, how she works, products she uses and so she could get an idea for what we wanted/liked. On the day of the wedding I made slight tweaks to what I wanted for my hair and make up and Alice knew exactly what to do to create a beautiful finished look. I loved it!
